  4.     You  can  learn  a lot about "ERGO" by typing  "ERGO/help"  on the
  5.     command line.

  12.     The easiest way  to install this program is to first build a temp
  13.     directory, and go to it.  If  you have  the  self-extracting file
  14.     "1ERGO.EXE",  just  type  "1ERGO",  otherwise  if  you  have  the
  15.     file  called  "1ERGO.ZIP", type  "PKUNZIP 1ERGO".   The file will
  16.     unzip itself, and you can look at what's there and get a grasp of
  17.     what  you will want  to move to a directory in  your  path  (like
  18.     \UTIL or \BAT), and what you will just want to read  and move off
  19.     to floppy, or whatever it is you do with files like this one.

  21.     Most likely,  you will want to move the following  to a directory
  22.     that is referenced in your path statement:

  27.     DOS's  CLS command  is a little too  destructive to the method of 
  28.     colorization that we use.    We don't  take up any memory or risk
  29.     you to incompatabilities with a TSR or anything like that.  To do
  30.     a  clear screen command  that doesn't  wipe out your colorization
  31.     preferences, use "CL" which should be included with "ERGO".

  38.     the order form,  the most essential information  is listed in the
  39.     "ERGO" registration screens.

  45.                   THE FOUNDATION SOFTWARE PHILOSOPHY

  48.     The owner of this program is and has been primarily a main-frame,
  49.     business applications programmer for the past 14 years.   In that
  50.     time he has written and bought many hundreds of programs. His ex-
  51.     perience contributes immensely to the software that we provide.
  52.  
  53.     Our programs are as  bug free  as you will find  anywhere, and we
  54.     try to avoid the approach where you will buy something now to use
  55.     until the next version is released.  Our software is not released
  56.     before it's time, and is not designed to contain limitations that
  57.     will be "fixed in the next release."    If you like the style and
  58.     functionality  of  our  programs,  you will relate to them in the
  59.     same way a carpenter relates to a hammer. It's there, and it does
  60.     the job as efficiently as it can be done. It is our hope, however
  61.     that  based on your feedback  we may  enhance our products  to be
  62.     even more useful  than ever,  but these type of releases  will be
  63.     few and far between.

  65.     We also feel  that anyone who owns one of our utilities will want
  66.     the rest. They complement, and cooperate with each other in a way
  67.     that gives  the environment  a particular feel  that you wouldn't
  68.     otherwise experience.  We thought about tacking on an extra $5.00
  69.     per product,  but at the same time  we wanted to provide you with
  70.     another incentive to become one of our customers. So the decision
  71.     was made  to throw in  all of the other  Foundation Utilities  to
  72.     provide that incentive.

  74.     "C"  and  "D"  are  a couple of great utilities  that you will
  75.     really want to use every day.   Both of them are included in this 
  76.     offer.  You will probably use our "T" utility too, but writing it
  77.     did not require a great deal of effort as did the others.

  83.     E_VENDOR.DOC file for requirements.   Note, non-profit BBS's  and
  84.     User  groups  are free  to  distribute  this  program,  the  only
